Deedee...

I came across a French blog yesterday that looks quite interesting. I found it through an article in Le Post about a blogger who had her identity 'usurped' by someone who then used it to leave nasty comments on other people's blogs.

Delphine Desneiges, who blogs at www.deedeeparis.com claims that someone has created a profile using her username, email address and blog address and has been using this profile as their identity when leaving blog comments. Apparently some of the comments are pretty harsh and have been left not just on random blogs but on blogs of people she knows, too. Imagine the awkwardness.

Anyway, her site looks interesting. She's based in Paris and the subtitle of the blog is 'la vie trépidante et truculente d'une parisienne à paris'. It's in French (so good practice for those of you learning the language!) and full of insider tips about Paris shopping, eating and places to stay, as well as books, music and interviews of other Parisians.

Hope she is able to sort out the identity issue. Good grief, what a freaky techno age we live in, n'est-ce pas? Sometimes I miss the good old days when people just stole your wallet...

What a horrible thing to do to another person. I hope she's able to get to the bottom of it!

Freaky! Thanks for the info. I never imagined that your blog identity could be kidnapped!
