Téléthon 2009...

It's time for the annual Téléthon, and although I have a hard time saying this word without picturing Jerry Lewis, I try to actively support it as best I can. This year, my Flamenco group will be giving performances, first at the local wine shop and later at the giant Bouloudrome in the village. Nothing like a French market with a little Spanish dancing thrown in.

I can't remember what time of year this happens in the States. Is the same time? I know that in England the equivalent is Children in Need, which was a couple of weeks ago.

If you are in France and want to donate, here's the site, or better yet, check out any of the local activities, performances or markets that are being held around the country this weekend.

Any chance of video of your Flamenco group? Would love to see your performance.
Hope the telethon is a huge success.

A Flamenco group? thats pretty cool. I guess I didn't picture other countries doing these kinds of fund drives (DUH, or what?!) so it's interesting reading about what happens in France. Youre right, the UK recently had theirs. I can't even remember when it is in the States...

Have fun!

I sincerely hope that there will be no camera footage in existence of our performances today (we've only been going 3 years and still have alot to learn...) But I'm sure we'll have fun and hopefully raise some money!
