Coco avant Chanel...

A new film comes out today in France about Coco Chanel, called Coco avant Chanel, directed by Anne Fontaine and starring Audrey Tatou. The film tells the story of Coco's childhood and early life. The trailer looks good, full of period atmosphere. Audrey Tatou looks perfectly cast in the role, and apparently Karl Lagerfield advised on the costumes for the movie.

I'm looking forward to this one. Audrey has just the right amount of hautiness to make it work.
We'd still be wearing corsets if it wasn't for Coco.

Hi Dedene,
I agree, interesting story and I think Audrey Tatou should be good in it!

It has to be better than that one with Shirley McClaine. That was bad.

I just watched "Priceless" (can't remember the french tittle); Audrey Tautou is a very fine actor and I can't wait to see this movie.
I have all the Jacques Tati movies except "Jour de fete". I could never find it in the US. Mr Bean reminds me of him. I guess different strokes for different folks... I don't get "Boratz". It is a different kind of humor.
